Nancy Helton

Nancy C. Helton, age 67, died May 18, 2010 at Triumph Hospital in Detroit. She was born October 22, 1942 in Detroit. Ms. Helton was a lifetime resident of Madison Heights, prior to moving to Pigeon. She was a 1960 graduate of Madison High School and enjoyed watching the Madison Heights Wolverines football. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. She will be dearly missed by her family and many friends. Ms. Helton is survived by her children, Matthew R. Helton of Brandon Township and Heather Anthony Crews of Madison Heights; mother, Gladys Payne Braxton of Auburn Hills; siblings, George O. Vivian Braxton of Clawson, Janice Andris Revalds of Sterling Heights, Diane David Davis of Oakland Township and Melissa Braxton of Clawson; and grandchildren, Matthew, Ryan, Teagan, Jasmine, Savanna and Jewell. She was preceded in death by her father, George O. Braxton. The visitation will be held Friday 2-9 p.m. and service Saturday 1 p.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak, with the Rev. Peter S. Nickel officiating. Memorials to the Nancy C. Helton Memorial Fund appreciated.
