Nancy Arp

Nancy Lea Stanton Arp of Newcastle, WY died October 6, 2009 at Rapid City Regional Hospital surrounded by her family and loved ones. Nancy was born April 10, 1943 in Newcastle to Lee and Arlene Barritt King.
Nancy attended school in Newcastle through the 12th grade. She married Eugene "Bucky" Stanton on June 11, 1960. After her formal schooling she attended classes and became a nurse's assistant. Nancy and Bucky raised five children in the Newcastle area. In 1987 she opened her own fabric store in Newcastle that she operated until 1990. In May of 1994 she married Bud Arp in Rapid City, S.D.
Nancy has always had a love for babies and children. To great grandchildren she was not Great Grammy, but "Greatest Grammy" to all of her great grand children. She also enjoyed sewing and photography. She was excited about life and loved to spend time with her family.
Survivors include: husband Bud Arp of Newcastle; her mother Arlene King of Newcastle; 3 sisters Della Mae Orvil Nolder, Jalene Jerry Huckins, Teresa King all of Newcastle. Her 5 children: Tammy Kent Elliott of Newcastle. Elvin Candi Stanton of Newcastle, Kevin Tobie Stanton of Edgerton, WY, Kelly Mike Arp of Newcastle, Greg Robyn Stanton of Newcastle; Nancy had 3 stepchildren: Mike Kelly Arp of Newcastle, Wendy Morris of Newcastle, and Tina Devon Williams of Brookings, OR. Her 11 grand children: Krystal Cory Crinklaw of Newcastle, Kerry Chris Escandon of Newcastle, Stacy Tommy Stanton of San Diego, CA, Brice Angie Stanton of Laramie, WY, Tristin Tate Stanton of Gillette, WY, Adam & Blake Cobb of Newcastle, Tiernan Stanton of Newcastle, Ashley & Alyssa Arp of Newcastle, Ethan, Levi, and Zachary Williams, Tye & Brandon Morris, and one unborn grandchild. Also Nancy had 4 Greatest Grandchildren.
Nancy was preceded in death by: her husband Eugene "Bucky" Stanton, her father Lee King, her sister Tuffy Cole and her brother Eldon King.
Visitation is Friday evening at 6pm at Worden's Funeral Chapel. Services will be held at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Newcastle, WY on Saturday October 10, 2009 at 1 pm. Interment will follow at Green Wood Cemetery in Newcastle. The family suggests memorials be sent to St. Joseph's Children's Home in Torrington in care of Kelly Arp 61 Daniel Dr. Newcastle, WY 82701.
