Nadine Rankin

Angels came today and took our Mother Nadine Lee away to be in a better place with all her Heavenly Family. She was born Nadine Lee Chittim to James Henry and Inez Tate Chittim in Hulett, Wyoming. She attended grade school and graduated from high school in Hulett, she played on the Hulett basketball team and enjoyed other sports and fishing with her Mother & Hugh. On March 28th 1940, she married Delbert P. Williamson in Sundance, WY. To this union they had Inez Frances, Leedel Chittim and Denis Hugh. She worked in Newcastle, WY for 1st State Bank and James Lane O.D and other odd jobs. Delbert passed away Feb. 22, 1965 in Rapid City, SD. Nadine and her two sons moved to Redondo Beach, CA, where she married Tom Tolson. Her daughter Inez and husband Jerry Maxner and two sons David and Danny moved out to Redondo Beach to complete bringing her family together. California was her home for 15 years, she enjoyed the warm weather, family and friends. She enjoyed all her grandchildren, taking them fishing, rock hunting, hiking and picnics. She was a 50 year member of the Rebekah Lodge of Hulett and a charter member of Sundance and Newcastle, where she was a Past Noble Grand. She was a 50 year member and Past Worthy Matron of the Order of Easter Star?s in Hulett. She was a member of the Upton VFW Auxiliary and attended many functions with her husband Harold Rankin. She loved music, playing the piano for her church and both Lodges for many years. She left CA in 1979 and moved to her son Leedel?s home in Rapid City, SD. She married Harold Rankin in Upton, WY Feb. 2, 1980 and lived there until Harold?s death in 1998. She moved back to Rapid City to be close to her children who all live in Rapid City.

Nadine will be missed by her family and friends. Survivors include her daughter Inez American Horse Maxner, Inez?s son David his wife Traci and two daughters Avery and Afton and David?s son Morgan Ness. Inez?s son Daniel Maxner and his daughters Mikayla, Kelsea and Brook. Inez?s two step sons Brennen and Kandan American Horse. Nadines son Leedel Williamson and his four sons, Tony his daughters Mackenzie, Miranda and their Mother Tami Andresh, Troy, Travis, Trevor and their Mother Cheryl. Nadine?s son Denis Williamson, his wife Kathy, their son Ryan and his wife Sarah, their children Caden, Gavan, Nolan and Josie. Denis and Kathy?s Daughter Mindy and Clinton Hoffman and their Daughters Jonlyn, Kiyah and Maddison Hoffman. Jerry and Ryan Maxner. Tom Tolson?s son Bill Tolson and daughter Sharon Tolson and their children and grandchildren. All of Harold Rankins children, Marvin, Douglas, Larry, Martin, Debbie and all of the Rankin Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Nadine?s special friends, Hope Scandrett and Pastor Doug Heck.

Preceding her in death, Delbert Williamson, Tom Tolson, Harold Rankin, her parents James Chittim and Inez Chittim Davidson, stepfather Hugh Davidson, Baby Sister Ilene, Sister Beatrice Chittim Wilson, Brother?s Harold, Asal, Charles, James Chittim and Harold?s daughter Cindy Nicholson.

We know God was with Nadine at the time of her death, she will be with God and her family in heaven, waiting with open arms for those left behind to come and join her.
