Mrs. Ruth Bickford

Ruth Bickford, 86, of Newcastle died Tuesday, January 1st at Weston Manor Nursing Home in Newcastle.
Ruth was born February 1, 1926 at Custer, South Dakota the daughter of William V. and Mary E. (Miller) Gould. She was raised in Newcastle where she received her education in Newcastle schools. On April 22, 1947, she married Harland Bickford. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting. Together Ruth and Harland owned and operated Bickford's Laundry from 1969 to 1979.
Mrs. Bickford was a loving mother and grandmother. She always enjoyed people and made many friends.
Surviving her is husband Harland of Newcastle; son Dave Bickford of Newcastle; daughters Vicki Zimmerman of Texas City, TX, Starla Singleton of Casper, WY and Marty Borgialli of Newcastle. Also surviving are six grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place under direction of Worden Funeral Directors. Services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Saturday, January 5th at Newcastle Senior Services with Pastor Bill Haley officiating. The family would appreciate memorial contributions to the Weston County Manor.
