Mrs. Nicole Ellsbury

Funeral services for Nicole Lee Ellsbury, 23, will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, May 1st at the LaVerne Boal Auditorium in Upton, Wyoming with Steve Langer and Monte Hamilton officiating. Burial at the Greenwood Cemetery North of Upton will follow the services. Memorial donations to SunCatcher Therapeutic Riding Academy, Rapid City, SD would be appreciated by the family. Persons wishing to pay their respects may do so from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm Friday, April 30th at Worden Chapel in Newcastle, or from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm Saturday, May 1st at LaVerne Boal auditorium.
Nicole died Monday, April 26th at her home.
She was born September 15, 1986 at Newcastle, Wyoming the daughter of Tony and Becky (Armajo) Garhart. As a young girl she grew up in Osage with her family where she attended Kitty Moats Elementary school through the eighth grade. She participated in sports, school activities, rodeo, and never missed an opportunity to spend time with her horse.
Nicole then attended high school in Upton where she continued to be successful in rodeo and also was part of the drill team and choir. She kept busy in her spare time breaking horses for other people. Following graduation from Upton High School in 2004, she moved to Buffalo, WY where she lived and worked before moving back to Upton in 2005, taking a job at Joe's Food Center.
On September 13, 2008, she married Will Ellsbury in Estes Park, CO. She was employed by Black Thunder Coal Mine, and continued to live in Upton at the time of her death.
She always enjoyed her time with family and friends and days outdoors with her dogs and horses.
Survivors include her husband Will of Upton, her parents Tony and Becky Garhart of Upton; her brother Chris (Jess) Garhart of Osage; Grandmother Virginia Garhart of Osage; grandparents Joe and Ruth Armajo of Thermopolis, WY; great grandmother LaRue Ainslie of Osage, WY; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and friends.
Preceding her in death was her grandfather Gene Garhart and great grandfather Bill Anslie.
