Mrs. Nettie Eberspecher

March 6, 1932 — April 6, 2011

Nettie "Inez" Eberspecher, 79, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 6, 2011, after a short battle with lung cancer. Inez was surrounded by family and friends in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where she passed away peacefully.
Inez was born on March 6, 1932, in West Tampa, Florida, to John and Virginia Gallego. She had one sister, Vonnie. Inez lived all over the United States during her youth, especially enjoying Folly Beach, SC, and New Orleans, LA. Her family eventually made it west to Colorado, South Dakota, and Wyoming. On December 1, 1956, Inez married William (Bill) Robert Eberspecher in Custer, SD.
Inez devoted her time to her family and raising the couple's three girls - Mickey born in 1957, Billie born in 1959, and Jamie born in 1971 - and helping Bill run his drilling company. Inez and Bill lived most of their lives together in Newcastle, Wyoming, and always had an open door for friends and family. She was known for her iced tea and good food. Inez enjoyed quilting baby blankets, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a long-time member of the Ladies VFW Auxiliary and enjoyed playing bingo at the VFW Hall. After suffering a stroke, Inez spent the last 10 years of her life in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, enjoying Jamie's children.
She is survived by her three daughters Mickey (David) Babcock of Snyder, TX, Billie (Dean) Willadson of Newcastle, WY, and Jamie (Jerome) Schmidt; eleven grandchildren - Amanda, Adam, Jessica, T.C., Cody, Tom, Josiah, Jaalah, Jared, Jonathan, and Julia; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her sister. Inez's heart was always in Wyoming, so she will be buried in Newcastle. Services will be at Worden Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. with burial following at Greenwood Cemetery. Coffee and refreshments will be served following the interment at the V.F.W. Hall in West Newcastle and all are invited.
