Mrs. Merelene Roby

Merelene "Jo" Eberspecher Roby, 71, of Newcastle, passed away on January 7, 2013 at Weston County Health Services.
She was born October 13, 1941 in Glenrock, WY to Helen Robinson Eberspecher and Tom Eberspecher. As a child, her family moved about quite a bit, spending time in St Mary's and Santa, Idaho, as well as Casper, Glenrock, and Douglas, Wyoming before settling in Newcastle, where Jo attended High School with the class of 1960.
She met the love of her life, L.D. Roby, at Newcastle High and they were married on May 27, 1959 in Deadwood, SD. To this union, three sons and two daughters were born. L.D. and Jo made their home in Newcastle and operated Bage's Texaco for some time where Jo did bookwork and serviced vehicles. She always managed to maintain a loveing home environment while doing whatever was needed of her. Jo was generous, loving, loyal, and outspoken; If you were on her good side, she loved you unconditionally, but if you were on her bad side, you knew it.
She enjoyed reading, cribbage, and many more of life's little perks, but the highlight of her entire existence was her grandchildren.
Jo will be missed by her husband, L.D., of Newcastle, two sons; Randy (Diana) Roby of Wright, and Daniel (Gine) Roby of Guernsey, WY; two daughters, Deann Roby- (Leslie) Whitney and Jodi Roby (Jason) Barker both of Newcastle; 14 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and far too many friends to count.
She is preceded in death by one son, Donny Robery, her apents, and all of her siblings.
Services for Jo will be held at the LDS church in Newcastle on Friday, January 11, 2013 at 10:00 AM. There will also be a viewing at Worden Chapel in Thursdya, January 11th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery
