No services are planned at this time for Mavis Irene Cook, 79, of West Linn, Oregon, who died October 2, 2011 at Willamette Falls Hospital in Oregon City, Oregon following a short illness.
Her wishes of cremation have taken place.
Mavis was born August 25, 1932 in Watertown, South Dakota, to John William and Gina (Skaim) Karinen. She attended schools in South Dakota and Wyoming.
Mavis married Sam Cook on September 29, 1949 in Newcastle, Wyoming. Together the couple raised 4 children.
Mavis is survived by her children, Joseph (Fred) and Jani Cook, Linda and Carl Daley, Rodney and Sharon Dowdy, one sister, Oriet Gasper and 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Mavis was greeted in Heaven by her parents, son, David Cook, two sisters, Ginger Treloar, Charlotte Karinen, one brother, Bill Karinen, and her great granddaughter and grandson.
