Mrs. Marie Sewell

Marie Oudin Sewell, 77, passed away on March 6th at her home near Newcastle after a brave battle with Lou Gehrig's disease.
Marie was born October 17, 1933 the daughter of Henry and Mae (Newman) Oudin at her Grandma Newman's home.
She attended school in Oakland, California, Hulett, Buckhorn, Barlow Canyon near Devil's Tower for Elementary education and graduated from Sundance High School in 1952. Marie Attended airline school in Omaha after graduating from high school.
Marie married Sammy Sewell June 3, 1955 at the Methodist Church in Sundance; the couple lived at the family ranch on Skull Creek out of Osage until 1973. In 1972, they purchased the Harry Sedgwick Ranch on Highway 450 and moved to that ranch in February, 1973.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Newcastle, Weston County Cowbelles, Upton Chapter #32 of the Eastern Star, Newcastle Daughters of the Nile (50 year member). And was a 4-H member for many years.
Marie is survived by her husband of 56 years Sammy, one daughter Debra (Andy Rasmussen) Sewell, one son Scott Sewell; one grandson Dustin Freed; three granddaughters; Lacy (Eric) Amdahl, LaShel Sewell, and Kylee (Jay Bonnema) Sewell; two great granddaughters, Kirra Ruray Bonnema and Samantha Marie Amdahl.
The family prefers memorial contributions to Weston County Seniors' Services. Contributions may be sent to 609 Bruce Road, Newcastle, WY 82701.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 9th at 2:00 pm at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Paul Holland officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery at Newcastle.
