Mrs. Karen Ayers

June 6, 1966 — March 3, 2011

Karen Rae Ayres, 44 passed away Thursday, March 3, 2011
in White Clay, Nebraska. Services will be held Thursday
March 10, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. at the Worden Funeral Chapel
with Pastor Bill Haley officiating. Coffee will follow at VFW in Newcastle.
Karen was born June 6, 1966 to Kenneth and Mary
(Schumacher) Franklin in Newcastle, Wy, she attended
schools in Newcastle until 1975, when she moved with the
family to Cheyenne. She graduated from Central High
School in Cheyenne, WY in 1984. She later worked for the
Wyoming Department of Transportation, in Cheyenne. On
August 25, 1990 she married Tim Ayres of Newcastle and to
this union two daughters were born, Candice Marie, Aprii 15,
1991 , and Jessica Rae on February 23, 1993. Karen was
very proud of her two daughters and all of their
accomplishments.
Survivors include her daughters, Candice and Jessica, Tim
Ayres, father and step-mother, Kenneth and Peggy Franklin;
one brother, Kenton (Shelly) Franklin of Cheyenne; Stepson,
T.J. Ayres of Newcastle; Step brother, Donald (Carol) Cool,
Gillette; step sisters, Shari (Tom) Bruce, Teena (Dick) Ratts,
Melanie McKinley all of Newcastle and Tanice (Clint) Slagle
also of Gillette. A special friend Vic Clarke of White Clay, NE
numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and host of many dear
friends. Karen will be remembered for her bright and fun
loving personality.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Franklin, in
1986 one brother, Kevin Franklin, in 1989, her grandparents,
George and Mary Jane Franklin of Newcastle, two aunts,
Barbara Peltz and Shirley Carlton.
A memorial fund has been set up for the education of her
daughters. Donations may be sent to Tim Ayers 19 W. Park
Street, Newcastle. Worden Funeral Directors were in charge
of the arrangements.
