Mrs. Gracie Turner

Gracie Ann (Gibbs, Shultz) Turner, 71, of El Reno, Oklahoma, died September 29, 2011 at Rapid City Regional Hospital. She was born September 3, 1940 in Newcastle to Joe and Ruth Gibbs. As a young girl she grew up on the family ranch on the Cheyenne River and was first educated in a one room schoolhouse until grade 10 and thereafter attended Newcastle High School. She graduated from Newcastle High School in 1958.

Soon after she had graduated, she married Grant Shultz in 1958. Gracie worked mostly as a cook as well as some motel management up until retirement. After Grant's passing in 2005, Grace then married Robert Turner in 2008 until his passing in 2010.

She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, jewelry making, raising Siamese cats as well as baking and cooking.

Survivors include her daughter Vickie Olaveson of Atlanta, Georgia; son James Shultz of Utah; son Allen Shultz and daughter Ruth Paulson of Newcastle, Wyoming; her sisters Louise Bayne and Mildred Butolph and brother Ed Gibbs, all of Newcastle, Wyoming; also surviving are 8 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be at 10:00 am Thursday, October 6th at Worden Funeral Home officiated by Bill Haley of The Country Church, Four Corners, Wyoming. There will be coffee and snacks to follow the service at 126 2nd Avenue, Newcastle, Wyoming.

Honorary pallbearers are; Joey Shultz, Misty Paulson, Nova Shultz, Alexis Shultz, Dwight Paulson, Jr., Zackary Shultz, Mackayleigh Shultz and Morgan Shultz.
