Mr. Keith Ellerton

Funeral services for Keith E. Ellerton, 69, will be held at 1:30 pm Saturday, August 21st at Christ the King Lutheran Church with Rev. John Hopper officiating. Burial will follow services at Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Worden Funeral Directors.
The family would appreciate memorial contributions to benefit Christ the King Lutheran Church or Weston County Seniors' Center. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Worden Chapel on Friday, August 20th.

Mr. Ellerton died Monday, August 16th at his home in Newcastle of following a lengthy battle with cancer.

Keith Eugene Ellerton was born February 11, 1941 near Custer, South Dakota the son of Mervin and Thelma (LaFurge) Ellerton. Following his graduation from high school he enlisted in the U. S. Army and spent most of his two year enlistment in Korea. On December 3, 1966 he married Carolyn Thompson. He was employed as a civil engineering technician for the U. S. Department of Agriculture / U. S. Forest Service for 34 years, and was also employed as a rural mail carrier for 10 years.

Mr. Ellerton was a friendly, trustworthy, honest man of his word, and a hard worker. He never knew a stranger.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn Ellerton of Newcastle; three children Tracy (James) Jordan of Gillette, WY, Todd (Stacy) Ellerton of Roscoe, IL, and Teresa (Kurt) Legerski of Parker, CO. He is also survived by a sister, Sherri Naugle of Rapid City, South Dakota and six grandchildren.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents.
