Mr. John Lliteras

Funeral Mass for John Lliteras, 62, will be 10:00 AM Saturday, March 3rd at Corpus Christi Catholic Church with Rev. Phil Wagner and Deacon Ken Pitlick as celebrants. A private interment at Pine Slope Cemetery, Belle Fourche will be at a later date. Recitation of The Rosary will be at 7:00 pm Friday, March 2nd at Worden Chapel.
John David Lliteras, 62, of Newcastle, WY, died in a "bobcat" accident on Sunday, February 26th doing what he loved to do, running his Bobcat Business.

He was born May 10, 1949, in Chadron, Nebraska to Harry and Gladys (Eastep) Lliteras. He attended the Catholic Assumptions Academy of Chadron and received his Bachelor of Science teaching degree from Chadron State College.

He taught in Ponca, Nebraska for one year, before coming to Newcastle. He taught Science and Tech Ed for 31 year at Newcastle Middle School. The fondest memories of teaching were of Iggy car races, Science Fairs, Science Olympia and TSA competitions. He gave the kids keys to have the competitive edge they needed for success. Early in his career he coached wrestling and Basketball. He also received an Outstanding Young Men of America award. Along with teaching he continued working at his Bobcat business that he started in the early 80's. He was also featured in the bobcat work saver magazine for developing a mind for Business. In 1976 he married Bev Orwick at the Chapel in the Hills. In 1978 his daughter, Robbie Lynn was born


John enjoyed working with his Bobcats, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, riding his Harley, he was a classic car enthusiast owning a 55 Chevy and spending quality time with family,

Survivors include his wife of Newcastle; daughter Robbie Lliteras of Gillette; brother Don and Rose (Vasquez) Lliteras, and grandchild Rylee of Alliance, Nebraska; sister, Pat (John) Rasmussen, Ravenna, Nebraska. Nephews, Dana (Jessica) and child Alexi, Michael Rasmussen, and nieces Andrea (Derrick) VerMaas, and children Kayden and Aspen, Sarah (Kenny) Rasmussen, all of Omaha, Nebraska and other numerous relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
