Mr. Jacob Dowdy

Jacob Ray Dowdy passed from this world on August 16th 2013 at Black Thunder Coal Mine doing what he loved.
Jacob was a gift born to Jennifer Locke Dowdy and Clifford Dowdy on February 18th, 1989 in Newcastle Wyoming.
Jacob lived in Upton with his mother and brother Jordan for most of his life. He attended Upton Schools from elementary through high school where he received his diploma in 2008.
He played football and was a wrestler, both of which he did with passion. He loved anything outdoors, whether it be hunting, fishing, or tearing up muddy roads. He loved the life he was building with his fiance, Wendy Vrana. He loved life and made every job fun no matter what it was. He had a personality that was bigger than life and his hugs and infectious smile will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his parents Jennifer Locke and Clifford Dowdy (Cathy). His brother and best friend, Jordan Dowdy. His beloved nephews and niece, Logan, Nathan, and Chloe. His treasured grandparents, George and Neomia Locke. He is also survived by his half brothers and sister, Justin Zaiser and Jason and Patricia Dowdy. Step siblings, Kim and Danny Benshoof, Michael and Joseph Helms, Matt, Missy, and J.R. Garner. Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and many friends.
He was proceeded in death by his paternal grandparents.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks all donations be sent to Firstier Bank in Upton for a scholarship that will be available for students with learning disabilities as a memorial to Jacob.
Jacob Ray's funeral will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, August 21st, 2013, at the Upton Community Center with graveside services at the Upton Greenwood Cemetery. There will be a bereavement meal following the services at the Upton Community Center.
