Funeral services for Donald E. "Don" Barker, 55, will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, August 6th at the LaVerne Boal auditorium, Upton Elementary School. Pastor Try Heidt will officiate. Burial will follow services at Greenwood Cemetery at Upton, Wyoming under direction of Worden Funeral Directors of Newcastle. A viewing and visitation will also be held Saturday at the auditorium from Noon to 2:00 pm for those wishing to pay their respects. A memorial has been established. The family also wishes to invite the public to a dinner following the interment in the Upton Elementary School cafeteria area.

Mr. Barker died unexpectedly of natural causes Tuesday, August 2nd at Donkey Creek in Crook County, Wyoming.

Donald Edward Barker was born November 12, 1955 in Kimball, Nebraska the son of D. Matt and Margery (Seger) Barker. He was a 1975 graduate of Upton High School, and attended Casper College. He had been employed by True Oil LLC for 32 years as a pumper. On July 29, 1983, he married Ann Simon at Upton, Wyoming. Don loved repairing cars and trucks in his spare time, and did tire work for all of his friends. He was genuinely interested in people and how he could help others.

He is survived by his wife of Upton, son Matthew Barker, daughters Mandy (Jeremy) Biley, Kristy (Ty) Kennedy and Kim (Dusty) Mettler. Also surviving are his parents of Upton, sisters Peggy Hemphill and Laura Riley and brother Melvin (Jennifer) Barker; and grandchildren Samantha, Cammie and Dorean; nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; and many friends and extended family members.
