Clyde Lee Bayne was born Nov. 21, 1934 to Clyde O. & Phyllis (Clinebell) Bayne at the Achord Hospital while living on the original Clinebell homestead in Weston County, Morrisey Community. He passed away at the Weston County Health Services on January 14, 2011 at the age of 76, surrounded by his loving family after a short battle with cancer. He was the oldest of 4 children. The family moved to Newcastle in 1938 for a period of nearly four years where he started grade school in the fall of 1940. Returning to the old homestead in 1941, he went to school through the 8th grade at Morrisey Country School and then on to Newcastle for High School, graduating in 1952. After High School he attended the University of Wyoming for a year on an Ag Scholarship. In the Fall of 1953 he began employment with Continental Supply Company. He married Angelina Garcia in 1955 and to that union were five sons, two of them passing away shortly after birth, the three remaining sons, Charles, Clyde O. and Craig were schooled in Casper, Thermopolis and Worland, WY.
He remained with Continental Supply Company for 15 years in various capacities in three States. In 1968 he started a trucking business in the Bighorn Basin at Worland and expanded throughout Wyoming for the next 11 years. While in the trucking business he started purchasing ranch real estate, starting with the old homestead in 1973. In 1979 he sold the trucking business and moved to the Cheyenne River area, and built a nice ranching operation, this being his long time ambition and dream.
In 1992 he lost his 1st wife with cancer and in 1993 married Louise (Gibbs) Reed at the Ranch. After the marriage he started traveling more with his wife and later started to winter in Apache Junction, AZ where they purchased a residence for the winter months. Both enjoyed this very much and made many new friends. They traveled from South America to Alaska and Hawaii. His hobbies included gun collecting, playing pool, hunting and fishing.
Preceding him in death was his wife Angie, and two infant sons, his parents Clyde Bayne Sr. & Phyllis Bayne, and his brother, Wayne Bayne.
He is survived by his wife, Louise, three sons, Charles M, Clyde Owen (Nancy), and Craig (Chironan) Bayne all from Newcastle, his sister Joyce (Gene) Diedtrich of Newcastle, and brother Gary (Debbie) Bayne of Lusk, two stepsons, Val (Lori) and James (Donna) Reed of Casper, two grandchildren, Jeremiah & Jennifer Bayne of the family ranch, five step grandchildren, seven great step grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
