Miriam Reid

Miriam C. Reid, age 87, a resident of Royal Oak since 1942, died January 23, 2011 at Waltonwood of Royal Oak. She was born October 8, 1923 in Detroit. Mrs. Reid retired from J.L. Hudson's in Detroit. She was active in the American Red Cross and the Republican Women. She was also a member of the Royal Oak Historical Society. She is survived by her sister, Charlotte Herbert Spier Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Reid, on February 4, 2009; and her parents, Fred and Lelia Spier. A private burial was held at Oakview Cemetery in Royal Oak on January 25, 2011.
