Micheline Julia Wentworth "Mimi", 65, of Bloomfield Village, Michigan passed away on March 28, 2013. Micheline was born in Brussels, Belgium on November 1, 1947. She graduated from St. Ursuline High School and continued her studies receiving a business degree from the University of Brussels. Micheline met her love, "William" when he was stationed in Heidelberg, Germany and she was working at the Army base as a translator. They married on June 9, 1969, they shared a loving life together for 44 years. Together, they reared three beautiful daughters. With always a thought for others first, Micheline worked as an educator at The Academy of the Sacred Heart for over 15 years. Her creative flair as a French teacher of both middle and upper school students is legend. She was devoted to her family and her friends and will always be remembered for her benevolent generosity, optimism, grace, and kindness. Micheline is survived by her devoted husband, William, her children, Chantal Chris Mullin, Wendy Lance Lewis and Gabrielle John Schaefer, her grandchildren, Logan, Savannah, Zoe, Jake, Fiona, and Rori, and her mother Suzanne Van den Berg. Micheline is preceded in death by her father, Jacques Van den Berg and her beloved Aunt Agnes and Uncle Joseph. Family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service 7:00 p.m.on Monday, April 1st, 2013 at the Academy of the Sacred Heart, 1250 Kensington Road, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. The liturgy celebrating Micheline's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 2nd, 2013 at the Academy of the Sacred Heart. Reverend Karl Kiser SJ, President of the University of Detroit Jesuit High School will be officiating. There will be a luncheon that will follow the funeral mass from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the Birmingham Country Club. The burial will follow the luncheon at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery 10 mile Rd. @ Beech Southfield, Michigan at 3:00 p.m. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Homes, 8459 Hall Road, Utica and 705 W. 11 Mile Road, Royal Oak. Always seeking to improve the lives of others, Micheline set up two memorial funds - one to enhance research for a cure for cancer and the other to assure educational opportunities for those who show creativity and energy in their willingness to learn. Memorial donations may be given to The Micheline Wentworth Ovarian Cancer Research Fund - Karmanos Cancer Institute and The Micheline Wentworth Global Scholars Fund- The Academy of the Sacred Heart.
