Michael Neville

Michael L. Neville died suddenly on April 2, 2011. Loving husband of Mary Jo for 46 years. Devoted father of Julie Alan Stewart, Amy Steve Townsend, Tim Pam Neville and doting "papa" to Mackenzie Stewart who endlessly entertained him. He also leaves a sister, Pat Ken Hannon, and many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends. He was preceded in death by son, Michael G. Neville. Until his retirement in 2009, he was a financial planner and partner at Professional Asset Management. Mike coached basketball since he moved to Royal Oak in 1977. He loved the game and the youngsters on his teams. He was a longtime successful 8th grade boys coach at Shrine Grade School and also coached at Shrine High School, Berkley High and Birmingham Groves. He loved spending time with family and friends around a roaring fire he built. He will be missed by many. Visitation will be Monday 5-9 p.m., prayer service at 7 p.m., at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W 11 Mile Road, Royal Oak. He will be in state Tuesday 9:30 a.m. until the funeral mass at 10 a.m., held at National Shrine of the Little Flower Church, Royal Oak.
