Mercedes Cunningham

Mercedes M. Cunningham, age 82, a lifelong resident of Royal Oak, died peacefully at home on Friday, January 4, 2013. She was born October 30, 1930 in Birmingham. Survivors include her children, Robert R. Dinna Cunningham, Jr. of Northport, AL, Cheryl L. William Mathewson Cunningham of Ann Arbor and Cynthia T. Shaun Huls of Traverse City; grandchildren, Colin Huls and Erin Huls; siblings, Dolores Walker, Daniel Donnelly and Michael Donnelly; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert R. Cunningham and her parents, Daniel and Thelma Donnelly. Visitation will be Sunday 4-8 p.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blocks E of Woodward, Royal Oak. Mrs. Cunningham will lie in state Monday 11:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral Mass 12 noon at the National Shrine of the Little Flower, Royal Oak.
