Marylouise McDaid

Marylouise P. McDaid, age 92, a resident of Berkley since 1924, died January 27, 2011 at Georgian Bloomfield in Bloomfield Hills. She was born September 22, 1918 in Oshkosh, WI. Mrs. McDaid was a graduate of Oshkosh Teachers College. She received her master's degree in mathematics at Wayne State University. She taught for one year at Oak Park High School and more than 10 years at Norup Middle School and Berkley Public Schools. She was in sales at Roseland Park Cemetery from 1973-1983. She was a founding member of Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church, and a lifetime member of the LaSalette Ladies Guild and Berkley Seniors. Mrs. McDaid is survived by her children, Michael A. Katheryn McDaid of Apache Junction, AZ, Kathleen L. Carrel of Indianapolis, IN, Matthew J. McDaid of Orlando, FL, Brian C. McDaid of Albuquerque, NM and Kevin P. Mary McDaid of Oak Park; 18 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen J. McDaid, on June 2, 1955; children, James R. McDaid and Mary McDaid; and parents, Victor and Anna Pfeil. The visitation will be Monday 3-8 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Rosary at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak. Mrs. McDaid will lie in state Tuesday 10:30 am until the time of Mass 11 a.m. at Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church in Berkley, with the Rev. Patrick Connell officiating.
