Mary Lois, born on July 22, 1936, in Ericson, Nebraska, peacefully passed away on February 19, 2024. She was the cherished third child of Armand and Edna (Clark) Pratt. The family journeyed through Oregon, arriving in Stanfield where Mary graduated high school and met her lifelong companion, Gary McQuin. Their union of 68 year was a testament to enduring love.
Mary's joy and purpose revolved around her husband, Gary, and their shared passions, from archery and motorcycles to boating, hunting and camping. Together, they captured life's moments through digital photography.
Mary, known for her green thumb and love of the outdoors, cherished gardening, flowers, and birds. Her devotion to God was unwavering, mirrored by her deep love for family. Her departure leaves a void, but her spirit lives on in the cherished memories of those she loved and who loved her in return. Mary McQuin will be remembered for her enduring love, nurturing spirit, and the indelible mark she left on the hearts of her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband Gary McQuin who’s legacy lives on through their three daughters; Tammy (Randy) Byram, Becky Olson, and Vicky (David) Marlow, along with daughter-in-law Connie McQuin. Her immense love extends to 22 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren, with another eagerly anticipated. Her three sisters; Phyllis Hunter, Carol (Don) Moore, and Gayle (Richard) Bentz, along with sister-in-laws Mary Dyer and Linda Pratt, and brother-in-law David McQuin. Mary leaves behind a cherished network of family members who each held a special place in her heart.
In the embrace of eternity, Mary McQuin (1936–2024) reunites with loved ones who preceded her in death. She joins her parents, Armand and Edna Pratt, in-laws Charlie and Hazel McQuin, her son Rick McQuin, grandsons Bryan and Ben McQuin, and Robbie Byram. Mary is welcomed by her brothers, Dean and Butch Pratt, sister-in-laws Nancy Soiland and Marilyn Pratt, and brother-in-law David Dyer. In this final journey, may Mary find solace and eternal peace with those who went before her.
