Mary Brown

Mary Brown, age 96, a resident of Royal Oak since 1956, died February 6, 2013 at William Beaumont Hospital in Troy. She was born December 8, 1916 in Hamtramck to the late John and Victoria Budzinski. Mrs. Brown worked as a press operator on the assembly line at Chrysler for 42 years. She loved to knit, cook and spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her sons, Leonard Barbara Piner, John Peggy Brown and Scott Donna Brown; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Matthew R. Brown, on August 28, 1977; son, Ronald Sosnowski; and sister, Sophie Spear. The visitation will be Sunday 3-8 p.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blocks E of Woodward, Royal Oak. Mrs. Brown will lie in state Monday 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Royal Oak, with the Rev. Steven Wertanen officiating.
