Funeral services for Newcastle resident Marvin G. Paulson, 76, will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, October 22nd at Christ The King Lutheran Church with Rev. John Hopper officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Newcastle, Wyoming under direction of Worden Funeral Directors. Visitation will be Sunday, October 21st at Worden Chapel from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. The family suggests memorial contributions for Treasured Memories Hospice.
Mr. Paulson died Wednesday, October 17th at Weston County Health Services in Newcastle, Wyoming.
Marvin was born July 1, 1931 in Straight River Township, Hubbard County, Minnesota the son of Guy F. and Iva M. Weeks Paulson. He was educated in Minnesota, and furthered his education taking classes in electrical and appliance repairs. He has employed in the iron mines in Minnesota before moving to Wyoming. Here he worked at a Standard Station were he met Anna Mae Statler Tetrick. The couple married August 25, 1956. Marvin was also employed by Black Hills Power & Light Company and later was self employed as a small appliance repairman and knife sharpener. He was also employed in the maintenance department of Weston County Memorial Hospital and by The Sage Motel. Mr. Paulson enjoyed gardening and canning, tending his chickens, spending times with grandkids and going for rides. In his later years he enjoyed coffee and cookies at the Sage Motel.
Surviving him are sisters, Lois Daryl Ryman of Chaplin, MN and Ann Knutson of Holly, MN; brother Warren Mary Lou Paulson of Brooklyn Park, MN; son Dwight Ruth Paulson of Newcastle, WY; and five daughters Kathryn Moore of Tensleep, WY, Beverly Greg Taylor of Newcastle, Louise Kelly Stith of Newcastle Helen Darren Heslep of Green River, WY and Bonnie Paulson of Newcastle. Also surviving are eighteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his wife Anna Mae in 1997, parents, three brothers, one sister, son Gerald Tetrick and granddaughter Heather Ann Stith.
