Marjorie O'Brien

Marjorie Pollard O'Brien, age 95, a resident of Highland, MI, formerly of Royal Oak, MI died March 5, 2012 at her home. She was born September 26, 1916 in Cedarville, MI to the late James and Amie Pollard. Mrs. O'Brien was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran. She retired from the Oakland County Health Department in 1981. She was the former regional treasurer of the Soroptimist Club, a former member of the Soroptimist Club of Royal Oak and of the Ferndale Business Professional Women's Club. She was a great lady. She is survived by her daughter, Janet John O'Brien Buchanan of Highland; siblings, Leonora Winslow of Tucson, AZ and George Nadine Pollard of Pickford, MI; and grandchildren, Chelsea, Kyle, Lucas and Samantha. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilfred H. O'Brien, on April 22, 1960; the couple married April 28, 1945 in Royal Oak; and siblings, James Pollard, Al Pollard, John Pollard, Loraine Pollard, Leonard Pollard and E. Mae Pollard. The visitation will be Tuesday 2-8 p.m. and service Wednesday 11 a.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blocks E of Woodward, Royal Oak, with the Rev.
