Beloved wife of Lawrence Bercel Sr. Loving mother of Catherine Steven Dicker Bercel and Lawrence Bercel Jr. Proud grandmother of Steven, David, Jacob and Emily. Dear sister of Sheila James Ward. Predeceased by her daughter in law Teresa Bercel on October 18th 2013. Marilyn was a wonderful cook, wife, mother and grandmother. Her talents in the kitchen were recognized family wide. Her apple, lemon meringue, and cherry pies were always recommended. She enjoyed playing cards, going to the casino, and watching the dogs race at Derby Lane. She also had fun crocheting, making lawn chairs and listening to books on tape. As a grandmother she was a "yes" woman. She lived to please her grand-kids and all her family. Food, cards, movies, or ice cream for breakfast were always grandma's treats. Marilyn was always busy doing things to touch others and brighten their days. She will be deeply missed. Memorial contributions appreciated to Kids Kicking Cancer in Marilyn Bercel or Zoe Bergen's name. Visitation will be Thursday, 5:00pm-9:00pm and Friday 2:00pm-9:00pm with her funeral service Saturday, at 10:30am at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Road 3 blks east of VanDyke Utica.
