Marie J. Cobleigh, 87, of Southfield, formerly of Royal Oak, died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2008, at St. Anne's Mead, Southfield. She was born Sept. 29, 1920, in Bad Axe. Mrs. Cobleigh spent 10 years in South America with her husband, who was a plant manager for Ford Motor Co. She worked as a secretary for Honeywell Corp. in the 1970s. She was an avid golfer and bridge player and loved to travel. She spoke fluent Spanish and was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Royal Oak. She was predeceased by her husband, Earl Cobleigh, in 1968. Surviving are her nephew, Richard Madelyn Carpenter of Berkley, and other nieces and nephews.
