Margaret V. Reddie, age 78, a resident of Oxford for the past three years, formerly a longtime resident of Royal Oak, passed away February 1, 2010 at Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital. She was born September 12, 1931. Mrs. Reddie was a homemaker. She also volunteered at the National Shrine of the Little Flower, working in the mailroom and kitchen. She loved antiques, sewing, knitting and crafts. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Walt Reddie; children, Joan Tim Klein of Metamora, Jaynmarie Mark Hubanks of Ferndale, Wally Reddie of Santa Barbara, CA and Charles Jeanne Reddie of Beverly Hills; sister-in-law, Doris George Rjasko of Royal Oak; brother-in-law, Joe Zott of California; grandchildren, Stacy John Inchaustegui, Denise Joe Ellison, Matt Tara Klein, Charlie Reddie and Matthew Reddie; and great grandchildren, Lily, Aiden, Luke and baby Klein. She was preceded in death by her parents, Perry and Genevieve Vandercook; and sister, Joan Zott. The visitation will be Sunday 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak. Mrs. Reddie will lie in state Monday 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass 10 a.m. at the National Shrine of the Little Flower in Royal Oak, with the Rev. Krys Nowak officiating. The burial will take place at White Chapel Memorial Cemetery in Troy.
