Margaret Allen

Margaret E. Allen, age 93, a 55-year resident of Royal Oak, died September 6, 2010 at Medilodge of Rochester Hills. She was born December 11, 1916. Mrs. Allen was a wonderful homemaker and loved to sew. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was a loving and caring person to everyone she came across. She is survived by her children, Jean Phipps, Betty Baker, Joyce Dan Chadwick, Joannie Hoagy Saber, Colleen Don McGowan and Peggy Dave Allen-Giancola; daughter-in-law, Brigitte Allen; siblings, Joseph Cuddington and Rosie Hall; sister-in-law, Ethel Coddington; 22 grandchildren; and many great and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Allen, in 1981; sons, Alfred Allen and Gerald Allen; and son-in-law, Wilfred Phipps. The visitation will be Wednesday 5-8 p.m. and Thursday 2-8 p.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak. The service will be Friday 11 a.m. at Grace Apostolic Church of Clawson, with the Rev. Stephen Trachsel officiating. The burial will take place at Roseland Park Cemetery in Berkley.
