Major Collet

Major Beverly J. Collet, age 73, a resident of Royal Oak, died June 12, 2012 at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. She was born February 14, 1939 in Highland Park to the late Eugene and Catherine Collet. Major Collet served 43 years in the Metro Detroit area Salvation Army Corps. She is survived by her cousin, Donna Dick McGregor; their children, Tara and C.J.; and her lifelong friend, Major Jeannetta Fortching. She was predeceased by her sister, Peggy Pierpoint. The visitation will be Wednesday 4-7 p.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W 11 Mile Rd. 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak. Major Collet will lie in state Thursday 6 p.m. until the time of funeral 7 p.m. at the Dearborn Heights Salvation Army Corps 26700 W. Warren, with Col. Clarence Harvey officiating.
