Mei Margaret "Maggie" Pohly, born July 22, 2003, passed away July 15, 2009. Maggie leaves behind her loving mother, Sharon, and her sister and best friend, Victoria Lee "Vicka" Pohly of Rochester Hills. She also leaves her doting aunt and uncle, Linda Pohly and Al Branham, both of Flint; her adoring grandparents, Carl and Nancy Pohly of Grand Blanc; her favorite people, Aunt Susan and cousins, Erin and Logan Franzen, all of Flint; great aunts and uncles, Mary, Fred, Lari and Al; special friends, Carla, Jason, Cheryl, John, Kate, Josh, Emily and Maria; as well as numerous other friends and relatives who can't think of Maggie without smiling. Maggie took Rochester by storm on January 4, 2007 when she came home with her mother, adopted after 3 ½ years in an orphanage in Jiangxi Province, China. She attended Goodison Child Care Center in Rochester. She was an avid swimmer for the North Oakland Waves swim team and for the Lifetime Fitness Stingrays. She loved being a Daisy Scout. Maggie was a kindergartner at Brewster Elementary School in Rochester Hills when she was diagnosed with a malignant brainstem tumor on December 4, 2008. She fought bravely against this tumor and against the odds. Maggie's family invites you to a celebration of her life at Kings Cove condominium clubhouse, 1131 Brookside Ct., Rochester Hills, MI 48306-4210 on July 16th from 6-9 pm, and to a memorial service at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 340 N. Main St., Clawson, MI 48017 on July 17th at 11 am. Maggie's family will also welcome visitors from 10-11 am at St. Andrew's prior to the memorial service. In lieu of flowers and in honor of the things that Maggie loves, Maggie's family requests that donations be sent to North Oakland YMCA-NOW Swim Team, 3378 E. Walton Blvd., Auburn Hills, MI 48326-2375, St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 340 N. Main St., Clawson, MI 48017 or to a charity of your choice. Arrangements by Wm.
