Magdalin "Maggie" Emil, 85, died peacefully Monday April 13th with her family present at Weston County Manor in Newcastle, Wyoming.
Private family services for "Maggie" will be held at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, SD. The family has suggested memorial contributions be given in her memory to Weston County Manor. Worden Funeral Directors are in charge of the arrangements.
Maggie was born December 30, 1923 at Mandan, North Dakota the daughter of Fred and Helen Hertz Doll. She was raised and attended high school in Mandan. She married Joe Emil July 24, 1945 in Mandan. The couple lived in Washington and Montana before settling in Wyoming in 1961. She was a homemaker and beloved mother and grandmother. Maggie was also and avid bowler, and enjoyed fishing, playing Bingo and spending hours with her Word Find books and most importantly time with her family.
Mrs. Emil was a member of the National Catholic Society of Foresters, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, Post #2516 of Newcastle, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles in which she held various offices over the years.
Surviving her are one daughter Charlotte Wayne Daigh of Newcastle; one brother, Anton J. Doll of Bismarck, ND and two sisters Irene P. Boehm of Billings, MT and Justine F. Voss of Concord, CA. Also surviving are two granddaughters Sheila Mike Gregory, Cindy Joe Corley; five great grandchildren, Brandi Mike Evenson, Matt Gregory, Wyatt, Kale and Jayden Corley; one great great grandson Dayne Evenson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one grandson David Daigh, her parents and three brothers.
