Ellison, Madeline nee Couture. Age 92. May 4, 2010. Beloved wife of the late Andrew. Loving mother of Sr. Noreen S.C., Eric Carolyn, Jerry Nancy, Dennis Karen and Ken Jean. Proud grandmother of Eric, Laura, Sam, Amy, Amanda, Erika, Sheila, Kristen and Jill. Great grandmother of Joseph, Kate, Ansley, Carley, Tyler, Drew, Molly, Samantha, Grant, Bryanna, Cheyenne, Kevin, Jr., Natalia and Emma. Loving sister of Victoria Couture and Charles LaVerne Lozen. Also survived by 61 nieces and nephews. Predeceased by eight brothers and sisters. During World War II while her husband, Andy, served in the U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Marines, Madeline went to work at a neighborhood factory as a Putt Putt girl. After her youngest sons were well into high school, she found happiness working at J.L. Hudson's. When Madeline and Andy retired to Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, they each pursued many new opportunities for volunteering and for play. She found joy in dancing with the Coronado Cuties, singing with the Crystal Chimes, and swimming in the senior Olympics. However, her lifetime fulfillment was found in devotion to her Catholic faith, her beloved husband, Andy and their five children and their families. Visitation for Mrs. Ellison will be Thursday 2-8 p.m. with a 7 p.m. scripture service at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak. Funeral Friday, in state 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass 10 a.m. at the National Shrine of the Little Flower 12 Mile Road at Woodward, Royal Oak.
