Lucille A. Pineau, age 93, a resident of Royal Oak since 1938, died December 31, 2011 at Beaumont Health System in Royal Oak. She was born March 3, 1918 in Canada. Mrs. Pineau was a parishioner of the National Shrine of the Little Flower, where she was a member of the Resurrection Choir. She was a volunteer at the Sarah Fischer Children's Orphanage in Detroit during her late teens and W.W. Backus Hospital in Connecticut for 20 years. She was also a member of the General Motors Union Traveling Retirees. She was very involved with the arts and crafts and an avid Bingo and Bonko enthusiast at Oxford Towers. She is survived by her children, Rosemarie Hervey Hinse Eldridge-Hinse of Jewett City, CT, Henry "Hank" Christina Pineau of Sterling Heights, Rita Harl of Troy, Andre Doris Pineau of Pontiac, Paul Marty Pineau of Traverse City; daughter-in-law, Janie Goodrich of Troy; sisters, Antoinette Forton of Williamsburg, MI and Annette Boulley of Washington, MI; 21 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and 8 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Pineau, on October 22, 1980; and son, Francis "Frank" Pineau. The visitation will be Thursday, January 5th, 1-9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. scripture service at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blocks E of Woodward, Royal Oak. Mrs. Pineau will lie in state Friday, January 6th, at 11 a.m. until the time of Mass 11:30 a.m. at the National Shrine of the Little Flower in Royal Oak.
