Backus nee Hencak Beloved father of Cathleen Backus, Christine Backus, Louis Grace Backus Jr. and Paulette Don Treutle. Proud Grandfather of 12 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren. Mr. Backus is one of 13 brother and sisters to the late Emmin and Eva Backus. Visitaiton Tuesday 3-9 p.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home 8459 Hall Rd. 3 blks E. of Van Dyke Utica, with a Rosary Service 7 p.m. Mr. Backus will lie in state on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass at 10 a.m. St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 44633 Utica Road, Utica, Michigan. Interment Christian Memorial Cemetery.
