Loraine Cairns

Loraine F. Cairns, age 74, a resident of Madison Heights since 1973, died August 29, 2011. She was born October 8, 1936 in Pleasant Ridge. Mrs. Cairns was born and raised in south Oakland County and was an avid gardener. She is survived by her children, Glenn Sandy Cairns of Dearborn Heights and Debra L. Cairns of Madison Heights; siblings, Eleanor Wendland of Royal Oak, Vera Gillespie of Oak Park and Robert Diana Lacey of Warren; and grandchildren, Jacob and Eric. She was preceded in death by her husband, William D. Cairns, on September 12, 2006. The visitation will be Wednesday 2-9 p.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak. Mrs. Cairns will lie in state Thursday 10:30 a.m. until the time of service 11 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Royal Oak, with the Rev. Jeremy Schultz officiating.
