Leona Holland

HOLLAND Morrison, Leona A., age 97, a resident of Utica since 1937, died Tuesday, November 8, 2005, at Medilodge of Rochester Hlls Nursing Center, Rochester Hills. She was born September 24, 1908, in Alpena, Michigan. Mrs. Holland was the city treasurer of Utica during 1960's and 1970's. She was a member of the PTA District Chairperson for Local and County, the Macomb County Treasurer's Association and St. Lawrence Church, and Altar Society. She is survived by her husband, Norman T. Holland married over 35 years; children, Leonard L. Morrison Jr. Martha Hent, Donald W. Trudy Morrison, Teresa Holland; nine grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild, and sister -in-law, Eleanor Royer. She was predeceased by her first husband, Leonard R. Morrison and son, Thomas G. Holland. Visitation will be Friday, November 11, 2005; from 2:00pm to 9:00pm with a St. Lawrence Altar Society rosary at 2:00pm. A funeral mass will be held Saturday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 44633 Utica Road, Utica. She will lie in state at 9:30 am until time of mass at 10:00am at church, with Father John Hall officiating. Burial will take place in Cadillac Memorial Gardens-East Cemetery, Clinton Township, Michigan.
