Leon Blaszczyk

BLASZCZYK, LEON age 90, Jan. 22, 2010 of Sterling Heights. Mr. Blaszczyk was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Utica. He retired in 1984 after 33 years with Stroh's Brewery and he served with the Veterans of the Polish 2nd Corps of the British 8th Army under General Wladyslaw Anders. Beloved husband of the late Helen who passed away on June 28, 2009. Dear father of Susan Dennis Walkowiak, Janice Blaszczyk, Carol Patrick Domagalski, and Mary Scott Schellpfeffer. Loving grandfather of Elizabeth, Emily, and Peter Walkowiak, Alexander and Drew Domagalski, Sara, Elise and Julia Schellpfeffer. Son of the late Martin and Julianna Blaszczyk. Brother of the late Benedict, Mitchell and Chester Blaszczyk. Friends may call at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Rd., 3 blks. E. of Van Dyke Utica from 3:00 - 9:00 PM Sunday and 4:00 - 9:00 PM Monday. Scripture Service 7:00 PM Monday. Mr. Blaszczyk will lie in state on Tuesday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 44633 Utica Rd., Utica from 9:30 AM until 10:00 AM time of Mass. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
