Funeral services for Lela M. Lee, 97, will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, January 23rd at Worden Chapel with Pastor Mick Bohn officiating. Burial will follow at 3:00 pm at Memorial Gardens at Casper, Wyoming. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Monday, January 22nd at Worden Chapel. The family asks for memorial contributions to be made to Weston Manor Nursing Home.

Lela was born February 6, 1909 at Dierks, Arkansas the daughter of Manuel Russell and Pauline Tollett Stokes. She moved with her family to Oklahoma in 1910. On January 6, 1924 she married John Lee. To this union were born five children, three boys, Bill, Hy, and Jay; and two girls Dorothy Goss and Kay Padilla. Mrs. Lee enjoyed music and was a gospel singer. She also enjoyed hunting, a hobby she pursued until her ?80?s. She loved and looked forward to phone calls from her children and grandchildren every week. She was a pastry chef at the Townsend Hotel in Casper, baking forty plus pies each day. Later she was involved in the motel?hotel business in Lovell, Pinedale and Gillette, Wyoming.
Mrs. Lee was a member of T.O.P.S. #218 of Newcastle.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, one son and one daughter, five brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include sons Hy Lee and Jay Lee of Newcastle, and one daughter Kay Padilla of Albuquerque, NM. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
