Lawrence Krause

Lawrence "Larry" Krause, age 91, a resident of Hazel Park for more than 60 years, died June 1, 2010 at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. He was born August 14, 1918 in Detroit. Mr. Krause was a World War II U.S. Army veteran. He retired from Landis Manufacturing Co. in Ferndale. He enjoyed fishing, watching golf and was an avid walker. He is survived by his wife, Yolanda "Lonnie" Krause, whom he married October 22, 1945 in Detroit; daughter, Carol Rick Rose; grandchildren, Timothy, Joe, Mario and Anthony; great grandchildren, Joey, Taylor, Christian and Kaitlyn; and niece, Jeanie Dormo. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cheryl; and several brothers and sisters. The visitation will be Friday 2-8 p.m. with a 7 p.m. scripture service at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak. Mr. Krause will lie in state Saturday 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass 10 a.m. at the National Shrine of the Little Flower in Royal Oak.
