Katherine Tupper

Katherine T. Tupper, age 89, died October 5, 2010 at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. She was born February 21, 1921 in Otsego, MI. Mrs. Tupper was a graduate of the University of Michigan and a member of Alpha Chi Omega chapter. She was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Royal Oak and P.E.O. Sisterhood. She is survived by her son, James Barbara Tupper of Farmington Hills; granddaughter, Andrea M. Tupper; and great grandchildren, Gabrial Tobia and Allison Tobia. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Tupper, Jr., in 1980, her daughter Barbara Van Blarcum, and her sister Barbara Howard Thompson. The visitation will be Sunday 2-6 p.m. at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak. Mrs. Tupper will lie in state Monday 12:30 p.m. until the time of service 1 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Royal Oak, with the Rev. Dr. Thomas Rice officiating. The burial will take place at Pilgrim Home Cemetery in Arcadia, MI. Memorials to William Beaumont Hospice or Henry Ford Hospice are appreciated.
