Karen Elaine DuFresne, age 68, a resident of Royal Oak since 1976, died June 25, 2009 at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. She was born April 19, 1941 in Port Huron. Ms. DuFresne was a 1959 graduate of St. Stephen High School in Port Huron. She then attended Port Huron Jr. College and Ferndale Medical School. She was employed at Grace Hospital and Cunningham Drugs in their personnel departments before starting her family. Ms. DuFresne was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Royal Oak since 1976. She was also active in the Mom's Club of the Boys and Girls Club of South Oakland County and St. Mary's South Oakland Shelter. She will be deeply missed. She is survived by her children, Dawn L. Blaise Beltowski of Birmingham and Shawn Catherine DuFresne of Clawson; siblings, Alex Joseph Lozano of Port Huron, Virginia David Radike of Houston, TX, Josephine Jake Medlen of Pinckney and Mary Anderson of Marysville; and grandchildren, Blaise Jonathon Beltowski, Shelby Lynn DuFresne, Joshua Alexander DuFresne and Adam George DuFresne.
