June Smart

June M. Smart, age 87, a resident of Grapevine, TX, formerly of Royal Oak, died August 3, 2010 in Grapevine. She was born June 26, 1923 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Mrs. Smart retired in 1985 from Wheelabrator-Frye as a secretary after 20 years of service. She also loved to camp with the Road Runners. She is survived by her children, Wendy Burns of South Lake, TX, Beverlee Eric Schoenherr of Holly and Holly Donald Hopkins of Grapevine; and grandchildren, Melissa and Erin Schoenherr, and Jami and Shelby Hopkins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hawley T. Smart, on November 10, 2000. The couple married November 17, 1949 in Detroit. The visitation will be Wednesday 3-8 p.m. at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak. Mrs. Smart will lie in state Thursday 9:30 a.m. until time of service 10 a.m. at St. Andrew Episcopal Church in Clawson, with the Rev. Bill Fleming and Rev. Harry Cook officiating.
