Julie Straw

Julie A. Straw, age 93, a resident of Southfield, died March 16, 2011 at her home. She was born August 29, 1917 in Casselton, ND. Mrs. Straw enjoyed bowling and won several tournaments. She was a babysitter at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Birmingham for 35 years. She was devoted to her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Robert. Loving mother of Sonia Charles Mattson, Sharon Weinman, Nicole Faulkner, Robert Susan Straw, Jr., Richard Straw and the late David Straw. Proud grandmother of 14 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. In state Saturday 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass 10 a.m. at the Church of the Transfiguration in Southfield, with the Rev. Paul Chateau officiating. The burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Grand Blanc. Memorials to The Arc of Oakland County Association for Retarded Citizens, 1641 W.
