Julia Sherwood

Julia Cecelia Sherwood, age 77, a lifetime resident of Royal Oak, died October 5, 2011 at Evergreen Health and Living Center in Southfield. She was born November 10, 1933 in Royal Oak to the late John and Julia Witzling. Mrs. Sherwood worked at William Beaumont Hospital for 20 years as a secretary. She loved going to estate sales, shopping and buying jewelry from QVC. She is survived by her husband, Gerald C. Sherwood; the couple married October 10, 1953 in Royal Oak; children, Kim Joe Krug and Kevin "Captain America" Sherwood; siblings, Irene Barkume, Genny Bob Price, Marie Joe Murphy and Eileen Jerry Rance; and grandchildren, Casey and Ben Krug. She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Stan Barkume. Private services to be held. Inurnment at Roseland Park Cemetery in Berkley. Memorials to the Capuchin Community Center appreciated.
