Judith Mahin

Judith Ann Mahin, age 71, a resident of Madison Heights for 50 years, died March 11, 2010 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Pontiac. She was born August 2, 1938 in Pontiac. Mrs. Mahin was a retired school bus driver for the Southfield Public Schools. She also worked for the Lamphere Public Schools in Madison Heights as a bus driver. She is survived by her children, Robert H. Mahin III of Rochester Hills and Kristy Jacob Henderson of Port St. Lucie, FL; and siblings, Joyce Chellew of Spring Hill, FL, Shirley Don Lake of Holy Cross, IA and Mary Vasilko of St. Clair Shores. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Mahin, Jr., on February 26, 1986; daughter-in-law, Toni Mahin; and brothers-in-law, Don Chellew and Jerry Vasilko. The visitation will be Sunday 2-8 p.m. with a 7 p.m. wake service at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak. Mrs. Mahin will lie in state Monday 10 a.m. until the time of Mass 10:30 a.m. at St. Dennis Catholic Church in Royal Oak, with the Rev. Antonio Ong officiating. The burial will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield. Memorials to American Heart Association or American Cancer Society appreciated.
