Josephine Giachetti

Josephine M. Giachetti, age 92, a resident of Royal Oak since 1950, formerly of Uniontown, PA, died March 30, 2013 at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. She was born June 12, 1920 to the late John and Elizabeth Pusso. Josephine was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and best friend. She was an entrepreneur most of her adult life as a beautician, and running a pizzeria / beer & wine store with her husband Nick. Josephine always took care of her own finances and was a fantastic business woman. Last year at 91 she was still filing her own income taxes. She was a member of the Royal Oak Garden Club and helped the club maintain a section of flowers and plants at the Detroit Zoo. She loved to work in her yard and it was always beautiful. Beloved wife of the late Nicholas Giachetti. Loving mother of Sandra the late Robert Little, Nancy Joe Thompson, Nick Beth Giachetti and Cynthia Randel Cummins. Dear sister of Lucille Moore, Katherine Bell, Frances Wheeler, Donald Josephine Pusso, John Scott, Richard Carole Puzzo, James Helen Pusso, the late Bill Pusso and Stella Wandel. Proud grandmother of Robert A. Little, Daniel E. Stacie Little, Donna Jo Killgo, Richard Little, Marc Thompson, Nicholas Giachetti, Angeleigh Giachetti, Randi Jeremy Keith and Russell Cummins. Great grandmother of 15. The visitation will be Tuesday 4-8 p.m. and Wednesday 2-8 p.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak.
