Josephine M. Daigle, age 95, formerly of Royal Oak, died January 6, 2013 at Sanctuary at White Lake. She was born March 19, 1917 in Detroit to the late Ernest and Mary O'Connor. Mrs. Daigle was a devoted daughter, wife and mother. She is survived by her children, Paul G. Daigle of Royal Oak, Philip L. Susan Daigle of Berkley, Thomas J. Daigle of Auburn Hills and George M. Lin Jia Daigle of Chelsea; siblings, Thomas J. O'Connor of Roseville, Raymond F. O'Connor of Orion Township, Marie O'Connor of Ann Arbor and Ruth Angott of Bloomfield Hills; grandchildren, Elizabeth Kevin Markell, Sean Daigle, Catherine Brian McPhee, Anna Daigle and Evan Daigle; and great grandchildren, Liam and Keira. She was preceded in death by her husband, George A. Daigle, the couple married August 27, 1938 at Annunciation Catholic Church in Detroit. She was also predeceased by her brother, Vincent P. O'Connor. The visitation will be Wednesday 2-8 p.m. with a 7 p.m. scripture service at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blocks E of Woodward, Royal Oak. Mrs. Daigle will lie in state Thursday 12:30 p.m. until the time of Mass 1 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Royal Oak. The burial will take place at Roseland Park Cemetery in Berkley.
