Joseph McGillivary

Joseph Franklin "Frank" McGillivary, age 80, of Royal Oak, died May 6, 2013.
Beloved husband of the late Jeanne Marie Marchildon. Loving father of Michael, Brian Rebecca, Diane Charles Dagher and the late Sheryl. Dear brother of the late John, James and Joan the late Albert Johnson. Brother-in-law of Nancy. Proud grandfather of 10 grandchildren: Megan, Ryan, Scott, Kaeli, Keegan and Kacie McGillivary; Charles Joseph, Lainey, Lucas and Jacob Dagher. He was a member of the Teamsters started in local 247 who served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was stationed on the USS Pierce upon which he travelled the world. He retired from McNaughton-McKay Electrical and was an avid golfer. Visitation Thursday 2-8:30 p.m. with a 7 p.m. scripture service at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W 11 Mile Rd. 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak. In state Friday 11:30 a.m. until time of Mass 12 noon at the National Shrine of the Little Flower, Royal Oak. Inurnment with military honors on Monday 10 a.m. at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Memorials to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation are appreciated.
