Joseph Leskovansky

Joseph Robert Leskovansky, age 89, a 27-year resident of Royal Oak, formerly of Detroit, passed away January 4, 2014 at St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital in Madison Heights. He was born July 30, 1924 in Portage, PA to the late Alexander and Mary Leskovansky. Mr. Leskovansky was a World War II U.S. Army veteran. He worked for Equipment Manufacturing in Warren for more than 20 years as a millwright. He loved to fish and do crossword puzzles in his spare time. Beloved husband of the late Caroline Wieckowicz; the couple married June 1, 1957 at Transfiguration Church in Detroit. Loving father of Steven Laura Leskovansky of Eastpointe and Patricia Dennis Kaczynski of Royal Oak. Mr. Leskovansky will lie in state Friday 11:30 a.m. until the time of Mass 12 noon at St. Mary Catholic Church in Royal Oak, with the Rev. Steven Wertanen officiating.
